Be the Change

“The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were…[and then work towards the dream] -John F. Kennedypropecia 1mg

John was right…the world needs men and women to be visionary, to realize their potential, and then go forth to be the change.

Do you see a problem in your life? Do you see a problem in your community? What about in the world? Let’s be honest with ourselves, problems are abundant. Just as wishful thinking never successfully took the dog out for a walk or finished up the chores, so it is that merely wanting a better life actually creates a better life. We need to work for it. We need to get off the couch and “walk the dog.”

Here is a simple formula to be the change:

Notice: What needs to change in my life/community/world?

Choose: What can I do to better the situation?

Act: What will I commit to doing? What small steps can I take towards my commitment today?

Action is the toughest part, I believe. Making a true commitment and announcing your commitment to those you trust is a good beginning. Liz Smith put it best by saying: “Begin somewhere! You cannot build a reputation or infuse change on what you intend to do.”

Unfortunately, intention just isn’t going to cut it. Change requires action. Act today to bring forth change.
