VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are a variety of ways you can get involved with our non-profit organization – and in some cases – right from the comfort of your home. The following list provides a few of the ways you can get involved either individually or as a group.

1. Be a Committee leader: We still have spots open for committee leaders. These leaders will have direct say in Global Outreach Foundation’s projects, event planning, and fundraising methods. This is an important role that would demand hard work, dedication, organization, and leadership skills. You would work directly with other committee leaders and Global Outreach Foundation volunteers to come up with creative and innovate ways to fulfill our mission and to push forth efforts to EMPOWER CHILDREN.
2. Be a Virtual Volunteer: This is an exciting new volunteer program! Be one of the first to join in and meet once a month via an on-line teleconference using SKYPE. During this time we will discuss ideas on how to increase our awareness, assign specific duties to members, discuss how to get our schools and companies involved in fundraising events and expand our humanitarian networks. Furthermore, we will discuss the progress of our charity projects, brainstorm new ideas and potential projects, and find ways to be more efficient and better advocates on behalf of millions of children worldwide who are suffering from poverty.
3. Use GoodSearch: Powered by Yahoo – this search engine donates money to your charity of choice every time you surf the internet or shop online. The more you search and shop – the more we earn.
4. Matching Gifts/Volunteer Grants: Many organizations offer their employees matching gifts for their personal contributions as well as grants for the volunteer hours their employees give to their favorite charity. Talk to your employer about such opportunities.
5. Throw a house party: No matter the occasion –graduation, anniversary, birthday party, or TV viewing party – you can host a fun-filled event and ask all those who attend to bring a financial contribution in honor of the festivity. No gift is EVER too small!
6. Social Networking: Join our community on Facebook or Change.org. You will be able to meet other like-minded people, upload videos, and share news and ideas that can have a positive impact on our mission.
7. Internships: We hope to organize internships for those wanting to be involved in humanitarian projects worldwide. Send all internship inquiries or comments to admin@theglobaloutreach.org

9. Tell us your idea: We greatly appreciate your creative ideas in regards to our cause.  Do you have ideas on how to improve our website, or how to fundraise more effectively?  Do you have any people in mind that would be of value for us to know?
